CAITLIN CLAIRE STAUFFER
print. design. photography. life.
I am the graphic designer of the annual report for Alpha Gamma Rho. I design the 80 page publication and work with printers to impress our donors.
Many people have questions about what my major, "Graphic Technology" actually means. The Graphic Technology Program at the University of Central Missouri focuses on handling a graphics job from start to finish.
I began my journey at UCM in art school with a dream of being a graphic artist. After my first semester in the art department (and after spending $300 on paint) I realized that I wanted to know more. I didn't just want to create the design - I wanted to know to know how to create, set up, print, and finish that design to make a final product. Estimating, color matching, specialty inks, press efficiency, paper grade, and more - I wanted to know it all.
Print science is now a huge interest of mine. I am happily part of the "print nerd" crew and have helped with the design and printing of stickers, labels, food packaging, brochures, newspapers, notepads, holiday cards, magazines, and much more.
I am fascinated by everything that goes into producing a final product that a customer will love.
